At the core of what the 7 Foundation has set out to achieve is empowering people to attain their fullest potential. Our programs are designed to address needs of diverse groups which we think can benefit immensely by meaningful and timely interventions. We strive to make a difference by enabling success! Our key programs include soft-skills training, child prodigy support, educational assistance to the wards of martyrs and mental health awareness initiatives.
The 7 Foundation is the community engagement arm of 7. As an enterprise, 7 runs several corporate social responsibility initiatives which are focused on education, blood donation, sustainability and other community facing activities. Drawing inspiration from our ongoing community efforts, we have established the 7 Foundation, a separate entity that is responsible for developing and executing bigger programs for greater impact. We hope to make a difference by enabling success! Our charter includes the following:
Soft-skills training - An initiative to impart training in the areas of cognitive abilities, language skills, logical reasoning, customer interaction etiquettes, cultural sensitivity, basics of customer service to help increase employability
Child prodigy - A program to encourage and support talented children who have shown remarkable potential in sports
Educational support to the wards of martyrs
Mental health awareness - An initiative to spread awareness around mental health
Co-founder and Chief People Officer, 7
Shanmugam Nagarajan (Nags) is the Co-founder and Chief People Officer (CPO) at 7. He is responsible for defining the long-term strategy of the company and acquiring & nurturing top global talent who play a key role in carrying out the strategy. Before co-founding 7, he co-founded Business Evolution Inc., a leader in integrated CRM Solutions for the eCommerce market, in Princeton, New Jersey. Nags has held various technical and senior management positions in the US, Europe, and India at companies such as Comsys Technical Services, Churchill Insurance Company.
He has served on several leadership committees like the NASSCOM's Executive Committee and is a frequently-invited guest speaker to many leading business schools around the world. Nags is also a fellow and volunteer at iSPIRT, a think tank dedicated to transforming India into a hub for new generation software products. He mentors and coaches entrepreneurs via the iSPIRT platform.
Chief Delivery Officer, India & Americas, 7
Animesh is responsible for driving and executing the digital transformation of customer interactions at client organizations. His responsibilities include providing strategic vision and business insights to clients and helping them achieve business metrics and consumer engagement; and setting direction for teams to enhance consumer experience using 7s intent driven engagement platform. Devising talent strategies, instituting operational excellence, and instilling the drive to outperform across teams towards building a world class delivery organization, fall under his purview.
Sr. Vice President & HRD Head, India & Americas, 7
Nina oversees HR and Learning & Organizational Development (L&D and OD) across India and Americas for 7s services side of the business. She spearheads the mandate to create a vibrant, people-centric organization across two distinct geographies and cultures. As an HRD leader, she continues to play a key role in shaping and developing organizational agenda & HR policies of the organization.
Nina has a rich experience of serving in the not-for-profit sector. Prior to her current association with 7, Nina was the Chief People Officer at Indian Institute for Human Settlements.
Nina was a teacher for 16 years prior to coming into the Corporate world.
Vice President (Information Systems), 7
Ganesaraman spearheads development and management of the IT backbone of 7 India. In addition to his technology acumen, he is also an astute financial leader with a proven ability to turnaround P&L and increase Operating Profit. His expertise lies in driving revenue growth with profitability by identifying and controlling revenue and cost levers. A certified professional from ICWAI, he is presently pursuing doctoral research at the IISc, Bengaluru.
Passionate about creating positive community impact, Ganesaraman also leads 7s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
According to the National Sample Survey, out of the 470 million people of working age in India, only 10% receive any kind of training or access to skilled employment opportunities.
At 7, we believe strongly in creating opportunities for our youth to make them self-sufficient. In line with our own corporate philosophy and the focus of Prime Minister Narendra Modis Skill India program, the 7 Foundation offers a soft-skills program that will increase employability of our youth, specifically in the ITeS industry. It is also an area where 7 has domain expertise given its industry-leading service offerings and can thus equip the candidates with the soft skills required in the job market.
Broadly speaking, the soft skills program can benefit candidates in many other industries given that soft skills are critical to succeed in any role across industries.Eligibility criteria to enroll into the program:
1. 18+ years of age
2. Qualification through an online assessment test*
*In case a candidate doesnt clear the online test, S/he may apply again after a gap of 60 days.
Its a 22-day full-time focused training program for candidates on a wide range of topics that includes language and communication skills, comprehension and cognitive abilities, logical reasoning, problem solving and cultural sensitivity to get them more aligned to recruitment criteria in the ITeS industry. Based on our deep domain knowledge, we have developed our own curriculum that is in line with industry expectations. We have expert trainers with relevant industry experience who conduct the training program.

There is nothing more important than being able to help our children succeed. Especially in the area of sports, their natural abilities need to be honed at an early age. Lack of monetary resources can often thwart progress of a talented child. Our child prodigy program is designed to support talented children and young adults (in sports) to get financial aid so they can avail of professional training and mentorship in the formative years, paving the way for long term success.
The selection of the candidates* is made via the Bridge India Foundation and children aged up to 16 years are eligible for receiving financial support. While the Bridge India Foundation makes the recommendations, the final decision in this regard rests with the selection panel at 7 Foundation.Evaluation criteria to avail the financial aid:
1. Up to 16 years of age
2. Demonstrable skills and consistent track record of accomplishments endorsed by experts/professional evaluations
3. Nature and reach of the sport
4. Economic status of the child
* There are a limited number of children supported every financial year.

We often read reports of our security forces sacrificing their lives to defend our country. Their acts of supreme bravery and sacrifice are an inspiration for all and bear our deepest gratitude. As a mark of honour towards our martyrs we have designed this program to provide educational assistance the wards of martyrs so that their dreams don’t remain unfulfilled.
About 1 in 5 people will experience a mental health issue in their lifetime and in all likelihood given the demands of present day lifestyle, incidence of mental health issues such as stress anxiety depression will likely increase. However, mental health still remains a neglected or a taboo area, an uncomfortable issue to be confronted, often seen as sign of weakness or imperfection in an individual. Our own loved ones, friends, colleagues may be experiencing symptoms of mental health issues that arent obvious or visible.
